How does Orison storage not backfeed onto the grid when the grid is down during a power outage?

  June 4, 2020   |   Category: Electrical Safety

Orison storage employs an innovative technical approach to ensure that electricity never flows beyond the meter and back onto the grid. During grid disruption or a power outage, Orison storage uses a combination of software and fast acting hardware to sense the grid disruption and immediately stop injecting electricity into the home. Any appliance that is directly connected to an Orison Panel UPS port, will remain powered. During extended blackouts, you can manually open the breaker of the branch circuit it is connected to. Once Orison energy confirms it is isolated from the grid, it will resume providing high-quality AC electricity to the loads on its circuit.
