It is with a heavy heart that we write the devastating news of the passing of our dear friend and colleague Michael Emanuel. Michael passed away on November 30th, 2016 in San Diego after significant injuries from attempting to stop a runaway car.
Michael was a visionary member of our team. He supported Orison in fundamental engineering, operating, marketing, and business development capacities. Michael enthusiastically helped to create a transformative user experience in our plug-and-play energy storage systems. He also helped launch our Kickstarter campaign; establish global partnerships; and develop our regulatory and compliance relationships.
Michael impacted everyone and everything he touched. He was a results-driven leader with a unique and diversified range of technology skills.
We celebrate all of who he was, including his unwavering work ethic, innovative spirit and infectious passion for life. Michael will live in our memories as an intelligent and gifted man, whose character, talent, and drive made him a pleasure to work with and honor to know.
We offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to Michael’s wife Mrs. Ingrid Emanuel, two young children Jonah and Carmen, his parents Robert and Mary, and his sister Rebecca.
Michael will be greatly missed as both a friend and core member of our team. We wouldn’t be where we are without him.
Donations to support the Emanuel family can be made online through a YouCaring crowdfunding campaign page.
